Rome Day 1

We are lucky enough to have a wonderful family who thought we should go to Europe. So here we are, first stop Rome, Italy. I'd like to be able to say what every thing is that I've taken pictures of but I can't. But it's all so gorgeous I forgot to keep looking at the map to figure out where we were or what we were looking at. My Aunt Vicki LOVES Italy! She told us to wander, meet people, eat the food....so we did. We met some people who run a little grocery/deli store right around the corner from our Airbnb. It's wonderful! First night we got sandwiches nothing like anything we get at home. Everything had so much flavor! And then we walked and walked and walked. Found winding back streets, small cafes, farmers markets, vendors selling all kinds of stuff and gelato! Magical to say the least! So here is an overload of Rome on our first day!

Our little store around the corner.

  2. So happy for you guys! Of course I think ones life is incomplete without experiencing Italy, anywhere, any region. Your photos are so beautiful,I knew they would be frame worthy, and I really do cry when I see them. So glad you experienced the people, food, beauty, culture and history of the most beautiful country in the world. Can't wait to experience your next leg of your adventure. Keep it coming!!
