Birthday Number 3!

Halloween!

RAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!

"Take a picture of my dirty face grandma!"he tells me!

Luke after a head on collision with his big lab Bo! (Looks a lot worse than it was!)
Lukey with his godmother Megan, aka "Pigg"

A summer of puppies!

Skate boarding!

Little Lukey turns 3 tomorrow, where has the time gone! This little guy can go from crazy melt downs to laughing hysterically in a matter of seconds! One day we were all out on the sidewalk in front of Mallory and Chris' house and Luke was yelling, very loudly of course, at the dog. In mid scream he turns his head and says"OH!!!! BUTTERFLY!!!" He can be all out wrestling/fighting with his cousin Tayt one minute and the next he is very gently kissing his little brother Jax or new baby Drew. For what a rough and tumble little boy he can be he is also extremely polite, always "Please grandma" and "Thank you grandma" and always willing to share whatever he has for snacks. This little guy has been able to giggle from the time he was a few months old and he has never stopped! He is one of the 8 wonderful grandkids we have and we love him oh soooo much! Here's to a wonderful birthday Luke, have a great day!!!!

Entertainment Center Finished!

This is a Quarter Sawn Oak entertainment center. It is 82" long by 72" high. Randy built it in 4 sections, the middle section that the TV is sitting on, the 2 tall outer sections on either side of the TV and the top which is crown molding that spans the intire length. Behind the glass doors are glass shelves and you can't see them but there are can lights up in the crown molding piece that will shine down thru the glass shelves.

Basketball!

We all went to watch Peyton play basketball this last Saturday. Randy and I hadn't been able to go see him and this was our first time watching him. Have to admit he did a really good job! This is his first year and it was fun watching him get the ball away from the other team and take it down court to make a basket! Awesome job P!
Here is Nash, aka The Beast, wearing grandpa's hat and yelling at me for trying to take his picture! The other three, Austyn, Lia and Tayt are busy playing with Aunt Meg's phone, already tired of watching big brother play ball

Good job boys! They didn't win but sure came close, maybe next week!

First Piece to an Entertainment Center & a Toy Barn!

For Xmas on the Zimmerman side we pick names and Randy and I were lucky enough to get 2 kids this year, we all love to get kids names, so much easier buying gifts. But this year we got our nephew Travis's little boy Zak and Randy decided to make a barn for him. He had built one just like this one for our daughter Courtney's kids a few years ago and they still drag it out and play with it.
When we first gave it to Zak on Xmas Eve I was a little nervous that he wouldn't really like it that much, all the kids get so much for Xmas. But when I heard Travis saying they had to leave I glanced over and saw little Zak, he's 2 1/2, trying to carry this barn to his dad to take it home! So I think it was a hit and a very successful Xmas present!

And you might think this is strange to put together but we do happen to make a wide variety of things. Below is the beginning of a project. A friend of our daughter Megan asked Randy to draw up an entertainment center for her. This is the first drawing for her and as you can see from her writing she has added or made some changes.

From her changes Randy has built the first piece for her which is pictured below. We usually build the whole thing at once but she was unsure as to how she wanted the other surrounding pieces to look so we waited til we delivered the first middle piece and then she was better able to see how she wanted the rest of it to look. So from the adjustments on the above drawing we will be finishing and delivering the rest of this entertainment center in a couple of weeks and I will be posting pictures of it later this month.

This entertainment center is made from quarter sawn oak with a very dark stain applied.
