High Ground

Indian Memorial

A veteran who was kind enough to give us some history on this place. Completely funded by donations!

Woman in the Military
A fuzzy picture but couldn't resists putting it in here. Pretty fitting that this eagle would be circling over head!

This building has no nails, it was put together completely by tenons and pegs.

High Ground Bell
Just a few pictures of the family Courtney was taking pictures of.

Climbing back up the hill and it was a steep one!

And this pretty little girl just came and sat down by me while her family was climbing that hill! Out of all the kids I think she enjoyed the picture taking the most!

Last Sunday Courtney asked me if I wanted to ride along with her and the kids to a place called High Ground about 30 minutes from us. She was getting together with some friends to take some family pictures and I had never been there before. It's one of those places we always drive by and should have stopped a long time ago. It's a memorial for war veterans and a very beautiful and interesting place. I think we will have to go back and check it out some more!

Football Season!

Peyton 3rd from the left

Lia too the far right
Peyton-I asked him to look at me so I could take his picture, he asks, "Do I have to smile?" What a hard ass!

It's that time of year again, football! Not only with watching the Packers but also watching our very own Peyton. And to add on more to the game Lia has started cheer leading! I ask Peyton what position he plays and he tells me "corner". Ok P, going to have to explain that one to me, I love to watch but I'm afraid I'm not very techy about everything. So he says"Charles Woodson grandma!" The boy knows me too well!

Thanks everyone for all the help cleaning up, once again it was a wonderfully successful weekend! Couldn't have been more perfect and I think we all realize it even more now a couple of weeks later, the weather has been cold and rainy since! We are very lucky that weekend turned out as good as it did with the weather!

One Week Ago Today!!!

Casey was trying her wedding dress on for a last fitting, it looks inside out but the seamstress was just pining it to take it in. This was the first time she put the veil on with the dress. The lace for the sleeves was taken off my wedding dress, a very nice touch I think!
Here they are Mr. and Mrs. Smith right after the dinner.
Courtney and DAve and family plus a very wonderful young lady who came along to babysit.

Mallory and Chris Hannula and family.

And an after picture of the perfect night!

A week ago today we had the most perfect reception we could have ever wished for for our daughter Casey and her newly married husband Jacob! I can't remember how many times people made the remark "what a wonderful night, what a beautiful setting, everything is just perfect!" I look back and still am in awe that we were so lucky with the weather and everything going so well! A huge thank you to everyone who came and everyone who helped, from all the comments it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time!
