I love stoneware, old bowls, anything antique. This I especially love, it was my mom's. Not sure where she got it, but I think I get my love of old stuff from her. She had quite a few things in their home, some passed down and some things she just picked up. Sad when someone is gone all their things they loved just get spread around, just doesn't seem like much anymore. But makes for good memories. A little piece of them still here.

Storms!

Lately we have been having the most rain I think we've had in a long time and it just doesn't rain, it storms! For Wisconsin the temps have been pretty high, high 80's, and the humidity has also been high. But for a few days that it's here we can take it. Above is just a small example of how the kids handle it. Behind our apartment the water makes a small "river" and Luke was really enjoying it! That night it just started getting foggy and that's how the street lights looked at about 10 o'clock. Can't complain thought I'll take this over below zero any day!

I love this sign out front of our local library and I thought putting Luke in front of it would show you just how big it is! The colors are just beautiful! Happy word Wednesday!

Sneek Peak!

Here is a peak at one of Meg's cabinets. This is her vanity. It will have 2 drawers on the bottom and 2 on top with the middle one being a false front. The middle is an open shelf. The top picture is the first coat of stain, a black dye. The second picture is a dark brown stain over the top of the black dye and finally the last picture is with the top coat of varnish. Can't wait to get everything in and take pictures of the finished kitchen and bathroom!

Meg is busy finishing the floors this week and Randy is making all of her trim. I'll be finishing up her cabinets and then everything will start getting installed! Boy it's going fast now! Meg is also painting walls this week so I should have lots of updates! Soon it will be a finished picture I can show everyone!

I'm still getting the hang of "story" pictures, but I thought these were close. The top one is Luke's feet while he was playing in the sand and the flowers are what they looked like after the storm.

I know I know I'm a few days late, but here is my idea of a story picture. This is Randy weed whipping the ditches. I really love the almost blown out look, just a different look. Where I was soooo nervous to put my camera in full manual now I just really am having fun pushing the settings to the limit to see what I can get.

Homework!

Even though our photography class is over our teacher had a fun idea to keep us going with our learning and suggested that we do different assignments during the week. I've been trying to keep up, missed a couple of days, but thought if I committed to posting them on my blog it would force me to get out there and use my camera more! What she suggested was Monday do anything telling a story, Wednesday would be word/words day and Friday is fence day. So I will post today what I have done so far and try to get a picture every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from now on. Wish me luck!

Megan's House- Update
