Since the 30th of August we have been working on two jobs and not small jobs I might add. The kitchen and wet bar in the last post and this post which consists of all the pictures below and more which I didn't take pictures of. The home which we did this mantle and front door in we also did a Quarter Sawn Oak Kitchen, see previous posts. This family has had a lot of problems this summer with their air conditioning and it ended up warping all the trim in their newly renovated basement. So they asked us to come down and replace all the trim around the windows and doors and all of the base trim. As we were discussing and planning when to go down to fix everything the upstairs new addition started having the same problems. So we ended up not only doing the basement but also the upstairs addition as well. Just a side note, whenever varnishing anything always remember to varnish/seal the wood on all sides otherwise this is what happens, the wood sucks up the moisture on the unsealed side and begins to warp and twist causing tons of problems! From the upstairs new addition we moved into the living room and the entry way. The existing mantle was also damaged so we built a new one almost like the old one but Randy added a few new things and we built a new entry door. This door is not bought from anywhere Randy built the whole thing, side panels, door and frame. We also did some work for another family in town, some small trimming in of windows and doors, hung two closet doors, fixed some older doors in the home and built two cherry benches for them to match their dinning room set. This family has 6 children and his work is taking them to Germany for 3 years so they were trying to get the house in order so that they can lease it out while they are gone. So needless to say we have had an extremely busy 10 weeks and we are very glad to be back home and done with jobs for a little while. Randy is especially happy because deer hunting is starting this weekend and he always looks forward to that. I also have to give my husband a lot of credit for how much work he has gotten done in these last few months because he also holds down a 40 hour a week job at a door plant here in town. So he is very happy to be looking forward to some time off to go chase some deer and hopefully bag a big buck. These are maple cabinets with a custom color matched stain. All of these cabinets including the wet bar and the dining room base trim and crown trim was completed in 8 weeks from the time the customer ordered it. The only thing we did not do was the granite which the customer got from a company in Green Bay. They did an excellent job on the countertop, just beautiful! Also when we install someone's cabinets, if they have the handles/knobs for the doors and drawers we will install those.
I hate to say I have favorites because I adore and love all my grandchildren, but this guy has a very special place in my heart. Not sure but maybe because he is our first grandchild and maybe because he is our first boy but I have a very difficult time ever telling him no. I get into a lot of trouble with his mother on that one! Peyton is a lot like his father, he loves sports, as you can tell by the pictures.
This little guy is just a joy! He is currently Courtney's youngest, she is due to have number 6 in about a month. It's hard to take a bad picture of this kid, he loves the camera!
Tayt, what can I say about T, he is quiet and slow and steady and comes up with some of the most hilarious comments! He was talking to his cousin Luke the other day about drinking beer! He sounded like an old man! And it is extremely hard to get after him because he looks at you with those big brown eyes and you just can't yell at him! It's impossible!
These two belong to our youngest daughter Mallory, Luke and Jax. Lukey has more energy and endurance then all of Courtneys 5 put together. He is the energizer bunny, he never stops! And little Jax is just a happy little guy who loves to smile!

Here's Dave and Chris at a ball game. They are both very good ball players and Randy and I love to go watch them play during the summer. Keeps our summer weekends busy!
And last but far from least Jacob with Lia and Austyn. He is Dave's brother and our daughter Casey's soon to be husband. He is priceless because of his patience for keeping up with Casey and her hilarious craziness! So there are all of our boys and whoever told us the boys will come later sure wasn't wrong! We are very lucky to have such wonderful guys in our lives!
