Easter 2011!

Another wonderful Easter has come and gone! As always there was tons of great food, good company with family and lots of egg hunting going on with the little ones! We were minus my sister and her family this year, my niece and brother-in-law had to work and we really missed them being there, especially my sisters famous blueberry cheese cake! I think she really gets tired of making it but we never tire of eating it! But Courtney pulled through and made a Delicious raspberry cheesecake so we didn't go without any desert! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed the awesome weather....sunshine and mid 60's here in Wisconsin was like pure Heaven!

33 YEARS!!!!

I know this is coming late but we have had a few busy weeks lately and not the good busy! On the 7th we got that call that everyone dreads late at night, Randy's Uncle Bud in Iowa had passed away from a massive heart attack. He was only 61 and a real favorite of everyone. When we were married 33 years ago the 15th we had to go down to Randy's grandfather's funeral the day after our wedding. While we were there we stayed in a little motel, so while down there this time we thought we would see if it was still there. Sure enough it doesn't look as "cute" as it did 33 years ago but it was still standing! Kind of like me and Randy, still standing after all these years! Hard to believe it's been that long and I have to say that we are very lucky that we still enjoy being together. This past weekend we went to Green Bay just to get away for our anniversary. We usually do every year. Nice and relaxing, just the two of us.But we can't stay away for too long because we start missing the rest of our family. We are very lucky that they all live so close, not sure how I would handle it if we weren't able to see them every day. So here is to 33 years with my best friend and looking forward to many more! I'm very lucky to be married to someone who can still make me laugh after all these years!

Unfortunately I have to post this a day early for my oldest grandchild because we have to leave tonight for a funeral in Iowa. But I wanted to make sure to say HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY to Peyton. How on earth did he get to be 11? Seems like just yesterday he was the only baby. But growing up he is and into a wonderful young man! Time goes by way too fast! Love you Peyton and have a wonderful day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NASH!!!!

It is "The Beast's" 2nd birthday today and what a beast he is! For only being 2 he has no problem holding his own with his brothers, sisters and cousins! The picture above was taken last year. This little guy is one of those kids if you don't hear him you better go lookin cause he is definitely into something! He knows how to say please and thank you but he is very particular to when he uses it. Asking him to say please usually brings about a complete meltdown resulting in stomping feet, kicking and screaming on the floor and the ultimate time out sitting on the steps. And he will hold a grudge against you most of the day. He sure lives up to his "Beast" nick name but is just as cute and funny as he is a beast! Here is to birthday number 2 Nashie!

I was going thru my pictures just to see what it was like this time last year. Here are just a few. Notice the short sleeves, obviously it was warmer a year ago than it is now. And actual buds on the trees....a sure sign of Spring. And that crazy Lia in shorts! I swear she is just like her grandfather and Aunt Meg, always hot when others are cold! Also notice Luke from the first picture of the group to the last.....crying. If I remember right he wanted to be standing where Tayt was standing.....must be a better spot! Of course that has nothing to do with the weather, definitely gets it from our side of the family, I always seem to have a child crying in one of my pictures when my girls were younger.....hmmm....now who was that!?!?!
