Vacation 2015 - part II

After leaving Livingston, Montana we traveled south to the north entrance of Yellowstone. We've been there a number of times but I never get tired of it, so beautiful! We drove through to West Yellowstone and stayed at a KOA that night. The next morning we wander through Yellowstone to the south and found a small camp site at Lewis Lake. Really gorgeous, Randy heard elk bugling to each other (I of course slept through it :( ) Just a really nice, quiet tenting spot! The next day we drove down to Jackson Hole. I wasn't as happy with it this time, way too many people! But the Grand Tetons are still so gorgeous to see!

The water is soooo clear!!! And so nice and cool on a hot day!

Vacation 2015

We haven't taken a lengthy vacation in about 6 years and we figured it out to be 12 years since we've gone alone! No kids! Not that we didn't love taking the kids out west camping but.....we didn't have to worry about - getting too close to the edge of the cliff, stay on the path, no you can't buy everything you see, yes you have to eat that..at least taste it, no there aren't elephants in the woods to get you (Casey!) and stake down that tent!!!! It was just me and Randy with no real plan, stopping where we wanted, staying a little longer and a lot of walking and wandering! Loved it! Here are a few pictures for now with lots more to come!

Next stop was Miles City where they have a large western store with a museum of old saddles.

My new favorite town in Montana! Not real big, rural artists, antique stores, good food and very friendly people!
